New plastic recycling techniques allow us to give a new life to non-biodegradable solid waste, making less use of raw materials and reducing environmental impact.
The term rPET encompasses post-industrial polyester, derived from production waste, post-consumer polyester and lost polyester, such as that collected in the oceans and whose exact origin is unknown.
As part of the circular economy – converting waste into resources – rPET also has the best results in carbon footprint and material efficiency compared to other materials: making this material reduces carbon footprint by up to 16%, sulfur dioxide trace by 20% and phosphates by 45% less.
In addition to this sustainability, rPET fabrics share the same benefits attributed to other plastics without enhancing polluting production: they are strong, highly durable, heat tolerant, flexible and waterproof.
