The Feel of Tradition
Since 2010, we have kept alive a heritage of more than three centuries in the artisanal production of espadrilles in La Rioja. In 2022, we expanded our brand with vulcanized footwear—handcrafted sneakers made with natural materials. Each pair carries the experience of generations who have braided esparto grass, hand-stitched every detail, vulcanized the soles, and shaped a craft that remains very much alive today.
Las Pacas was born in a small community in northern Spain, where our grandparents—and their grandparents before them—worked with patience, pride, and a deep love for handmade craftsmanship. In 2010, Las Pacas was founded with the ambition of bringing tradition and modernity together under a project with character and conscience.
Every piece is made entirely in Spain: from preparing the soles to stitching, vulcanizing, and final assembly. All by hand. All local. Each pair reflects care, skill, and dedication.

We manufacture at the heart of the Biosphere Reserve, in the Cidacos and Alhama valleys, using certified materials and responsible processes:
GOTS Organic Cotton: Grown without chemicals, respectful of people and the environment.
Natural Linen: A fresh, durable, 100% biodegradable plant fibre.
SEAQUAL®: Ocean-recovered plastics transformed into new fibres.
Recycled rPET: Bottles turned into textile yarn to reduce waste and emissions.
Chrome-free vegan leather: A sustainable, lightweight, breathable microfiber.
Natural Jute: Tradition and strength in an ecological, biodegradable fibre.
Natural Rubber: Elastic, comfortable latex free from synthetic compounds.
Artisanal Vulcanization: Sole and upper fused with heat and pressure — no chemical adhesives.
