SIZE GUIDE TO BUY SHOES ONLINE

Do you want to buy shoes online and don’t know what size to choose?

Surely, one of the things that causes you more respect when buying shoes online is knowing if you are going to get the size right. To the different sizes, according to the place where you live or buy, you have to add the variations of lasts and the type of footwear.

In Europe, sizes are governed by the length of the sole in centimeters. Likewise, the interval between each number is 0.6 cm while in the USA it is 0.8 cm.
In Europe, the size of your foot corresponds to the measurement of the foot multiplied by 1.5. When we walk our feet change shape under our weight, this is why footwear is approximately 0.7 cm longer than this measurement; this is what is called “active foot measurement”.

Take into account the shape of your foot as the above calculation varies, you will need 0.2cm more in your footwear if you have flat feet or 1cm in case of high instep.

Finally, if your feet are wider than normal, you will probably need one size more to be able to walk comfortably.

Do you want to know what your ideal size is?

As upright as possible, lean your body against a wall and place a piece of paper under your feet. Make sure that your weight is distributed correctly and that your heels and the paper touch the wall on which you are standing.

You will need someone, with the help of a book, to mark on the paper the length of both feet. To the highest measurement obtained you should add 0.7 cm; remember that our body is not symmetrical and we always have one foot longer than the other.
