How we seek sustainability in Las Pacas
Fashion is the second most polluting industry on the planet, we cannot stop buying clothes and reinventing our appearance even if, at the end of the season, we have worn between 20% and 30% of the clothes that fill our closets.
Our responsibility is to promote handcrafted fashion, made in our Country and with quality fabrics so that our espadrilles is a long term investment at an affordable price.
The textile industry has managed in less than a decade to convert 25% of its turnover into circular, sustainable fashion. We want this to be unstoppable: reducing the presence of chemicals in our espadrilles, using recycled materials and natural products is our social responsibility.
Espadrilles are, historically, the most used, most resistant and most comfortable footwear when the climate is mild – even for work – if we add to this the long tradition of their handmade manufacture in our geographical environment since the 19th century. We firmly believe in our responsible commitment to the planet and to our society.
The clothes are usually discarded after an average of eight uses according to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation; our designs, the quality of our materials and the comfort of our summer shoes will make you look forward to the good weather to wear our Pacas again.
Each pair of espadrilles is studied to achieve maximum comfort, for each pair we have studied the suitability of the fabrics and their quality; each handcrafted stitch is checked and the final product is reviewed, one by one, so that when they reach your feet you feel part of our commitment.
